The BioSURE COVID-19 IgG Antibody Self Test is incredibly simple to use, requires only a drop of blood and gives you your own extremely accurate result in just 20 minutes. It is Europe’s first CE marked true self test that detects neutralising antibodies made as a consequence of either recovery from SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Infection or as an immune response to vaccination.

Why test?

BioSURE neutralising antibody testNeutralising IgG antibodies give you protection and knowing your antibody status means you can make better informed choices, whether your result is positive or negative. It is now accepted that antibody levels decline over a period of about 6 months, whether your immune system has created these to either natural infection or vaccination. The number of cases is now back on the rise, with the number of infections in fully vaccinated people rising steadily, currently at about 30% of all cases.

Knowing whether you have protective antibodies is more important than ever. The strength of the positive line on your test can vary and some can be quite faint. but the strength of your line does correlate to the amount of antibodies in your blood and even a faint line means there are detectable levels of neutralising antibodies, giving you a 50% reduced risk of suffering severe symptoms.

It’s as simple as #PrickSuckPoke

Just prick your finger, let the test suck up the blood and then poke it into the pre-filled buffer pot. 20 minutes later you have your own easy-to-read result. No labs. No waiting

Why Should I trust my BioSURE Self Test?

Because our test is CE marked specifically for self-use and is proven to be easy to use, accurate and effective! We had to prove that untrained people could perform their own test and read their own result as accurately as a trained professional.

Very importantly, it also has a special in-built feature called a sample control line, which means that the negative (control) line can only appear if you have added enough blood. Most other lateral flow tests do not have this special in-built feature, so you have no way of knowing if you’ve done it correctly. If you get one line (the control line) on your BioSURE self-test you will know that you have performed your test correctly and applied enough blood – so you can be confident in your result.

Steps for BioSure Test

No mixing or measuring

BioSURE self-tests use a novel barrel design that naturally collects the correct blood sample size (which is literally a fraction of a drop of blood!) into the tip of the device. The buffer solution you need to make the test run is also pre-measured in a small buffer top in the top of your test device, so you don’t have to worry about any mixing or measuring.

Our special control line

Unlike most other rapid tests, all BioSURE self-tests have a special in-built mechanism in the control line (the negative line) which means it must have enough human blood applied to it for it to appear. This is called a sample control line.

If it didn’t have this, you would have no way of knowing if you had performed your test correctly.

Most other rapid lateral flow tests have what is called a procedural control line, so basically any liquid running through the test will cause the negative line to appear – even if no sample is applied! So you think you have a negative result, when actually you might not have performed the test correctly at all.
